Basic Troubleshooting : Use network-provided time

GETTING DISCREPANCY OF THE DATA FROM YOUR BACK OFFICE TO KAHERO ANALYTICS

We understand that you’re experiencing issues with the accuracy of data synchronization between your Point of Sale (POS) system and Kahero Analytics. One fundamental troubleshooting step that can greatly improve this accuracy is to enable the ‘Use Network Time’ or ‘Use Network-Provided Time’ feature on your device.

Here’s why this step is crucial:

Accurate Time Stamps: When you make a sale or input data into your POS system, it records the exact time at which each transaction occurred. This timestamp is critical for tracking and analyzing your business operations.

Data Synchronization: Kahero Analytics relies on this timestamp to accurately correlate data between your POS and the analytics platform. If your device’s clock is not synchronized with network time, it could lead to discrepancies in the data, making it challenging to gain meaningful insights.

Network Time Reliability: Network time is highly reliable as it’s synchronized with global time servers. Enabling this feature ensures that your device’s clock is always in sync with the precise time, preventing any time-related issues.

To set the network time provided by your cellular network or Wi-Fi on your device, follow these general steps. Please note that the exact steps may vary slightly depending on your device’s operating system (iOS, Android, Windows, etc.)

iOS (iPhone/iPad):
Go to “Settings.”
Scroll down and tap “General.”
Tap “Date & Time.”
Toggle on the “Set Automatically” option. This will use the network time provided by your carrier or Wi-Fi network.

Android (Including IMIN Devices):
Open the “Settings” app.
Scroll down and select “System” (or “General management” on some devices).
Tap “Date & time.”
Toggle on “Use network-provided time” or similar option.

By following these steps, your device should synchronize its time with the network time provided by your cellular network or Wi-Fi, ensuring that your device’s clock is accurate.
Once this is done, your POS system and Kahero Analytics should work seamlessly together, and the data will reflect accurately and correspondingly to the time it was input into the POS.
