Item Modifiers

Item modifiers are item options that can be assigned to items. Examples are product fillings or toppings or add-ons in general.


Creating Item Modifiers



Item modifiers can only be created on the Back Office of KaHero POS.

On the Navigation Menu, select Back Office to access the back office. You can also click here for the link.

Navigtion Menu > Back Office

Login your account and select Items under Listings.



Select on the Modifiers tab, and click New Modifier to create a modifier.



Label your modifier. You can label it as the parent product(s) or item category you want to assign the modifiers to. (ex. If you want to add modifiers to your milktea category, label it as "Milktea".)



Click Save, after that click Add Layer for your modifier. You can add multiple layers in your modifier.



Input your Layer Name and enable Mutiple-Based if you want multiple selection of your modifier, and also input the Limit to limit of how many add ons can only be added to your item. For example, you can only allow adding 2 add ons in your item. Then click Save.



After adding your Layer, click the edit icon of that layer to add Item Options under your modifier.

Note: Your modifier won't appear in the Register if you don't add Item Options under your Modified Layer.



Click on Item Options and click Add Option.



Add details to your Modified Layer.

Item Name - input your item's name.
Item Price - input your item's price.
Item Cost - input your item's cost.

Once done click Save.



You can also Edit, Delete, Sort your Modifier and Modified Layer just by clicking the icons below.

A. Click to Edit your Modifier and Modified Layer.
B. Click to Delete your Modifier and Modified Layer.
C. Click to Sort your Modifier and Modified Layer, to sort just drag the item where you want position it.




Importing Item Modifiers



This feature allows you to add your new modifiers in a bulk. To use, you must first download the template.

In your Modifiers tab, click the more options.



Select Import Modifier.



Click on the Download Template, and an excel file of the template will be downloaded.



Encode your modifiers.

Note: Don't change all in row 1



Once your done encoding your new modifiers, go back to the Back Office where your download the template and click on Browse. Then upload your excel file and click on OK.




Adding Item Modifiers



To use the Modifier you must first apply it to your Items. On the Items tab, select Set Modifier beside the item you want to add modifiers to.



Enable the modifier you want to apply in your selected item. Then click Save.



The modifier will then be added to your item.




Applying Item Modifiers





This is how your items with modifier will show on the register:

A pop-up will show up asking you whether your customer would like add-ons. Select Yes.

This is your modifiers screen. Select which modifier your customer wants. You can select several choices. Click Add Item Add-ons.

This is how your item and its modifier will be shown on your ticket screen. Proceed to payment.
